Post Sony's SAVS350H Home Theatre Speaker System.
I am wondering if anybody has this speaker system Sony's SAVS350H Home Theatre Speaker System. I just purchased the Sony's STRDN1000 7.1 Channel Home Theatre A/V Receiver featuring 110-watts per channel, 7 HD inputs, 24p True Cinema, Blu-ray Discâ„¢ audio decoding, S-AIRâ„¢ ready, satellite radio ready, and Blu-ray Matching Design. I am wondering if I should get these spakers or go with a set from polk audio or one of the other bands. My tv is 46" sony lcd KDL-46S4100 I purchased a year go on boxing day. I also have a new ps3 that my wife got me for christmas I am using as my blue ray for now. I am gong to purchase a seperate sony blue ray player soon. Thank you in advance as I am a newbie to all of this. I bought the amp as I have watched it for a while and (competitor) had it on sale on line last week at $399.00 on line only so I picked it up.

Once again thank you

Bill

Nice Purchase on the receiver Bill.

It looks like you are brand loyal to Sony as you have the HDTV, the receiver, the PS3 and now want the speakers. I do not have the Sony home theater speakers. My surround sound system is a mix of different manufacturers, I have a Pioneer receiver, Panasonic Plasma TV, PS3 for blu-ray and Sinclair Audio speakers for surround sound.

Buying home theater speakers all depends on what your budget is? I personally like Sinclair Audio or Cerwin-Vega for speakers.

As for your blu-ray needs. Keep the PS3, don't spend the extra cash on another blu-ray since you have the PS3. Plus it will have a firmware upgrade for 3d HDTV.

Final thought.....

If you want "OK" speakers for your home theater set up then go with the Sony SAVS350H speakers / Sub. If you want a little more bang look at the Cerwin-vega sub and speakers. But if your budget is under $1000 then go with the sony SAVS350H home theater speakers.

I'm sure the sony speakers will do but you will almost always get better sound with aftermarket speakers from another brand.

Are you looking for bookshelf or floor standing?
