TORONTO, March 25, 2010 - Consumers can now pre-order Sony's LX900 series and HX800 series 3D-capable BRAVIA LCD HDTVs at any Sony Style and Future Shop stores across Canada, or by calling Sony at 1-888-289-7669. Pre-orders will be accepted online at http://www.sonystyle.ca/ and http://www.futureshop.ca/ later this month.
To add to the 3D excitement, for a limited time, consumers who pre-order one of the select models of Sony's 3D-capable BRAVIA LCD HDTVs will receive a bonus BDP-S470 stand-alone Blu-ray 3D-ready player.
Sony's 3D HDTVs leverage the breadth and depth of the company's expertise to create an entirely unique experience at home that draws you closer to entertainment than ever before. Sony's 3D capable LCD HDTVs use active shutter glasses and High Frame Rate technology to reproduce Full HD 3D images.

With a built-in 3D transmitter and two pairs of Sony's 3D active shutter glasses included, the LX900 series represents Sony's premium flagship XBR line. It will be available in screen sizes of 40-inch, 46-inch, 52-inch and 60-inch and retail for $2,999.99, $3,499.99, $4,499.99, and $5,499.99 respectively. Pre-orders for the 52-inch and 60-inch models only can be made now at Sony Style and Future Shop stores, or by calling Sony at 1-888-289-7669. Pre-orders for the 52-inch and 60-inch models will be accepted online at http://www.sonystyle.ca/ and http://www.futureshop.ca/ later this month. The televisions will ship in June.
Also 3D ready (with the addition of Sony active shutter glasses and transmitter, sold separately), the HX800 series is available in screen sizes of 40-inch (KDL-40HX800), 46 (KDL-46HX800), and 55 (KDL-55HX800) and retails for $2,599.99, $2,999.99, and $3,799.99 respectively. Pre-orders for all three screen sizes can be made at Sony Style and Future Shop stores, or by calling Sony at 1-888-289-7669. Pre-orders will be accepted online at http://www.sonystyle.ca/ and http://www.futureshop.ca/ later this month. The televisions will ship in June.
Sold separately, Sony's active shutter glasses will be available for $149.99 each, the 3D transmitter for $69.99, while two pairs of active shutter with the transmitter can be purchased together for $349.99.
BRAVIA XBR LX900 Series
Sony's 2010 BRAVIA LCD HDTV line up features a new innovative and stylish ‘monolithic design concept' with a seamless, flush viewing surface with crisp edges and a smooth border, and a unique six degree upward tilt option offers a more natural, comfortable viewing experience.

The HX800 series 3D-ready (with the addition of Sony active shutter glasses and transmitter, both sold separately) full HD (1920 x 1080p) models feature Dynamic Edge LED backlight, Motionflow PRO 240Hz, and BRAVIA Engine 3 full digital video processor for sharp, vibrant, life-like images.
